AI Tools for Student Writing Tasks

AI tools are dramatically changing the way that students and professionals write. These tools can be leveraged to save time, improve the quality of one’s writing, check for missing citations, and thus result in a better-finished draft. While AI can be used to write in place of the author, it can also be used to monitor writing to develop better sentences, check for grammar and punctuation errors, and help paraphrase large pieces of text.

The recommendation for using AI writing tools is to have it boost our creativity  instead of replacing it. While AI can be used to brainstorm ideas, it’s important that the idea be chosen and developed with the human user’s creativity and ingenuity.

Here is a list of recommended AI writing tools that do a variety of jobs without necessarily doing all of the thinking:
